The studio is currently working on proposals for a set of office meeting pods for a development in Cavan. Quiet spaces in which to hold smaller meetings in is a common problem in todays office spaces so over the years we have researched this issue in a variety of ways. Our interest in Geodesics and modular components presented an idea in the form of a dodecahedron structure built in CNC cut Birch Plywood with steel fittings. This gives the perfect enclosed form with the correct headroom, backrest supports for internal seating and possibilities for acoustic linings. The visuals show the concept also in colour lacquer finish with Camira wool upholstered seat pads, custom pentagonal table in Formica laminate with brushed stainless steel base. This pod provides seating for 4 with the possibility to add additional stools or chairs outside. Lighting can be provided with any pendant however here we’ve shown the ‘Prism’ Pendant by Leo Scarff Design in Matt Black Polypropylene which works nicely with the pod form. Charging points are provided via Pixel recessed mini units
