Hiberform is also involved in creating custom made furniture pieces for clients. For example the Hive project in Carrick on Shannon presented several opportunities for designers Gordon Ryan and Leo Scarff to create innovative new pieces. The ‘X-desk’ for 8no. users was created for the ground floor hot desking area. This large desk had similar material specification as the ‘Axis’ workstation with white laminate on Birch Plywood worktops, turned solid Ash legs with an additional white powder coated frame. The desktop screen also carried essential wiring through to specific locations. Some other pieces designed for Hive included a modular custom made PO box in lacquered Birch Plywood with red highlight tags to let occupants know when post was delivered and a large reception desk also in Plywood made from multiple panels assembled like a jigsaw.

For the Impact project in Sligo we designed several bespoke items such as foyer bench, marketing material display unit, podium, a large canteen table with a powder coated steel base and several workstations and ‘Connect’ tables in Ash to match the general interior wood specification
